Role Description

The Manufacturing Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role based in San Diego, CA, responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day manufacturing operations for Indyme’s electronics products. This role plans and manages production schedules, ensures product quality, and coordinates resources to meet delivery timelines and cost targets. The Manufacturing Manager leads and develops production teams, implements process improvements, and collaborates closely with engineering, supply chain, and warehouse operations to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives. Daily tasks include monitoring KPIs, resolving production issues, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and optimizing workflows to support a reliable, scalable manufacturing environment.

Indyme has a combination of on‑site manufacturing and contract manufacturing. Our manufacturing includes in‑house final assembly and test of electronics products, contract‑manufactured circuit boards, and contract‑manufactured large electro‑mechanical assemblies. Our primary in‑house manufacturing is located in Kearney Mesa, while our outsourced contract manufacturing locations are in Chula Vista and Tijuana.

Qualifications
  • Strong manufacturing operations experience, including Manufacturing Operations, Production Management, and Operations Management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in Production Planning to manage capacity, materials, and schedules effectively.
  • Proficiency in Quality Control practices to ensure consistent product performance and adherence to standards.
  • Leadership skills to manage and develop production teams, foster collaboration, and drive accountability.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or similar methodologies is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to use ERP/MRP systems and analyze data to make informed operational decisions.
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and safety.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Salary Range for this role: $95,000 - $140,000
