CNC Machining, Fabrication & Quality

Location: Brunswick, GA
Department: Manufacturing Engineering
Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: Competitive Salary ($65-95k) + Benefits + Relocation Assistance (up to $5,000)

Position Overview

A growing precision manufacturing organization is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support CNC machining, fabrication, process improvement, inspection, and quality initiatives.

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer or recent graduate who enjoys solving manufacturing challenges, improving production processes, and working closely with machinists, quality personnel, and design engineers. The position offers exposure to advanced machining technologies, production optimization, and quality management systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize CNC machining programs, setups, and manufacturing processes.
  • Support fabrication operations including laser cutting and forming processes.
  • Design and improve workholding, fixturing, and production methods.
  • Perform dimensional inspection and support quality documentation.
  • Investigate manufacturing and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturability and throughput. 

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Machining Technology, or a related field.
  • 0-5 years of experience in machining, manufacturing, or production environments.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T principles.
  • Exposure to CNC machining and CAM software.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and inspection equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.

Preferred

  • Experience with CNC programming, multi-axis machining, fabrication, or quality systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing process development.
  • Hands-on fabrication, machining, welding, 3D printing, or personal technical projects.
