Manufacturing Excellence ManagerFabrication & Manufacturing DivisionReports To: President of Tempe MechanicalLocation: Chandler, AZCompensation: $85,000 – $100,000 annually, pay rate determined in interviewPOSITION SUMMARYThe Manufacturing Excellence Manager leads continuous improvement and operational development across Tempe Mechanical's sheet metal fabrication facility. This role works directly with company leadership to build a manufacturing operation that is safe, organized, efficient, scalable, and driven by continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Excellence Manager bridges engineering, estimating, project management, production, shipping, and the online sales platform to ensure work flows efficiently from order to delivery.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESContinuous Improvement & Process DevelopmentLead continuous improvement initiatives throughout the fabrication shop.Develop and implement scalable manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Identify bottlenecks and implement practical solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and throughput.Help implement technology and automation to improve manufacturing operations.Team Leadership & DevelopmentCoach and develop shop employees while creating a culture of accountability, teamwork, and ownership.Cross-Functional CollaborationImprove workflow from estimating and detailing through fabrication, packaging, and delivery.Partner with project managers, purchasing, engineering, and production teams to improve communication and execution.Production Planning & PerformanceDevelop KPIs and production metrics that help drive daily performance.Improve inventory control, material flow, and production scheduling.Create systems that prepare the shop for long-term growth while maintaining exceptional quality and customer service.QUALIFICATIONSExperience in manufacturing leadership, with a track record of building teams and improving operations.Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred but not required.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.Experience with production planning and scheduling.Demonstrated ability to develop SOPs and drive process standardization.Experience with KPI development and performance management.Strong team leadership and coaching skills.Experience with ERP or manufacturing software.Background in process improvement and operational excellence.Self-motivated, highly accountable, and comfortable leading change in a fast-paced environment.BENEFITSMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsuranceProfit Sharing Retirement Plan6 Paid HolidaysPaid Time OffSick TimeCompany events and moreOUR PROMISETempe Mechanical is an equal opportunity employer.
