Located in Longueuil, on the South Shore of Montreal, this plant is not only the centre par excellence of the largest players in the aerospace industry for landing gear repair and maintenance, but also the plant that is recognized for the manufacture of the famous legs of the Apollo 11 lunar module.

Main responsibilities

  • Prepare and lead a weekly meeting on quality metrics governance for the plating and machining department
  • Prepare and lead two daily meetings on reviewing quality issues in production (plating and machining)
  • Maintain a production database on non-quality
  • Analyze production data to guide improvement projects in the plating and machining departments
  • Support any continuous improvement project as needed

The student will have autonomy in managing the major continuous improvement project and will also be involved in several other related projects.

  • Currently studying industrial engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, metallurgy, automated production, aerospace engineering, or mechanical engineering.
