RAISON D’ÊTRE DU POSTE

Relevant du superviseur des opérations, le ou la titulaire du poste de stagiaire machiniste CNC soutient l’équipe de production dans l’exécution des tâches d’usinage sur machines à commande numérique. Sous la supervision de machinistes expérimentés, le stagiaire participe aux activités de réglage, d’opération et d’inspection des pièces, tout en développant ses compétences techniques en usinage CNC et en lecture de plans.

RESPONSABILITÉS
  • Participer au réglage et à l’opération de machines à commande numérique (CNC) sous supervision ;
  • Assister au montage des outils et des « fixtures » selon les cahiers d’opérations ;
  • Appuyer l’équipe dans l’usinage de pièces simples et complexes ;
  • Apprendre à interpréter les dessins techniques et les plans de fabrication ;
  • Participer à l’inspection des pièces et au remplissage des fiches d’auto-contrôle ;
  • Utiliser les instruments de mesure (verniers, micromètres, etc.) sous supervision ;
  • Contribuer au respect des procédures de travail, incluant la révision des programmes CNC ;
  • Maintenir un poste de travail propre, sécuritaire et organisé ;
  • Participer à la documentation des travaux effectués dans les gammes de fabrication ;
  • Développer la capacité à identifier les priorités de production à l’aide du système ERP, selon les directives reçues ;
  • Collaborer à la transmission des informations entre les quarts de travail ;
  • Signaler toute anomalie ou problématique pouvant affecter la production ;
  • Participer à des activités de maintenance de premier niveau (maintenance niveau 1) ;
  • Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe en soutien aux opérations.

  • Être en cours de formation dans un programme de DEP en technique d’usinage ou domaine connexe ;
  • ASP ou DEC en usinage (un atout).

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the CNC Machinist Intern supports the production team in executing machining tasks on CNC equipment. Under the supervision of experienced machinists, the intern participates in setup, operation, and inspection activities while developing technical skills in CNC machining and technical drawing interpretation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in the setup and operation of CNC machines under supervision;
  • Assist in tool setup and fixture installation according to operation sheets;
  • Support the machining of simple and complex parts;
  • Learn to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing blueprints;
  • Participate in part inspection and completion of self-inspection reports;
  • Use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) under supervision;
  • Help ensure compliance with work procedures, including CNC program review;
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area;
  • Assist in documenting completed work in manufacturing routings;
  • Develop the ability to identify production priorities using the ERP system, according to provided instructions;
  • Support communication of work status between shifts;
  • Report any abnormalities or issues that may affect production;
  • Participate in basic maintenance activities (Level 1 maintenance);
  • Perform any other related tasks as required.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION
  • Currently enrolled in a DEP in Machining Techniques or a related field;
