This position is for our **Tyler, TX location**. The Manufacturing Engineer will develop, design and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes using methods, jigs, fixtures, racking, conveyors etc. in accordance with product specifications, quality standards, and safety standards. They use accepted engineering methods to show adherence to design requirements and safety standards. They also recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls and coordinate the manufacturing launch for new or revised equipment**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Designs, tests and implements new equipment, processes and systems related to but not limited to production flow and product conveyance, assembly methods, raw material handling, safety equipment.* Creates assembly and parts drawings, bills of materials, project/equipment budgets and work instructions for new equipment and processes.* Liaise with management, operations, suppliers and contractors to facilitate the implementation of manufacturing engineering projects and equipment.* Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment for operations and maintenance purposes.* Assist engineering technician with building and assembly of new designs and equipment.* Assist in the installation & implementation of new designs and equipment.* Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised projects, including establishing project goals, training team members/operators, and evaluating/organizing results.* Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency improvement.* Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams and provide support via design and/or implementation.* Performs other manufacturing engineering duties related to welding, painting and fabrication operations.**Qualifications**The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job of Manufacturing Engineer at Wastequip.Travel may be required up to 25%**Education and Experience*** Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required. (Industrial, Mechanical or Mechanical Technology Preferred)* Minimum 2-year experience in manufacturing engineering required.* Must have working experience with 3D CAD, Autodesk Inventor is Preferred.* Must possess technical, problem-solving skills* Experience working in a welding environment is preferred* Previous automation experience/exposure is preferred but not required.* Experience with programming and troubleshooting PLC’s is preferred but not required* Must be teamwork oriented.* Possess excellent communication and presentation skills.* Must possess an attitude of safety in all aspects of the job* Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and power tools is required.* Ability to weld is preferred but not required.* Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work in proximity to loud equipment.* Must be able to moves/lift items weighing up to 50lbs.* Must be able to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds.* Must be able to wear personal protective equipment regularly as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
