About the Role
As a Manager of Data Center Manufacturing at Z Modular, you will play a key role in aligning hyperscaler customer requirements with manufacturing operations to ensure customer expectations are met while maintaining production efficiency, quality standards, repeatability, and scalability. This position requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to balance customer needs with manufacturing best practices, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to the growth and expansion of Z Modular's data center manufacturing business.
You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, effective change management, and standardized manufacturing processes. This is an onsite role located in Killeen, TX.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customer requirements and manufacturing operations to ensure successful project execution.
  • Review and evaluate design changes to assess impacts on production, cost, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Drive standardization and repeatability initiatives across all skid platforms to improve scalability and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to minimize unnecessary customization and support manufacturable design solutions.
  • Support customer visits, inspections, audits, and quality reviews to ensure compliance with customer expectations.
  • Lead configuration management and revision control processes to maintain product integrity and manufacturing consistency.
  • Coordinate production readiness activities for new product introductions and manufacturing transitions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve throughput, quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance metrics and develop action plans to improve results.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives and expansion of the data center manufacturing business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.

Who You Are
  • 7-10+ years of experience in data center, mission critical, industrial manufacturing, or modular construction environments.
  • Experience working directly with hyperscaler, colocation, or mission critical customers.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, quality, and project stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of data center quality requirements, documentation standards, and customer acceptance processes.
  • Working knowledge of fabrication, welding, assembly, coatings, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience managing change management and configuration control programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance customer expectations with operational efficiency and business objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience driving process improvements, standardization, and operational excellence initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in data center modular manufacturing environments.
  • Mission critical infrastructure experience.
