FII provides customers with intelligent manufacturing services for new forms of electronic equipment products centered on the Industrial Internet platform.
About the Job:
As a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in System Integration Assembly (SI), you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding new product introduction (NPI) programs. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing tooling, processes, and documentation to ensure efficient SI assembly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will manage BOMs/routings, oversee process instructions, and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive successful product launches.
Employment Type: This is a full time, permanent position
Job Responsibilities:
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical support and assessment for new product/process development, with a focus on system assembly.
  • Documentation & Tools: Develop and implement tooling, process documentation, and product instructions for SI assemblies. Prepare engineering documentation for production and support prototype builds.
  • Configuration & Processes: Configure BOMs/routings for SI, ensuring alignment with product structures, standards, and internal procedures. Implement ECO/DA changes from customers and release Manufacturing Documents (MPIs and SOPs).
  • Customer Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for engineering-related customer issues.
  • Cost Management: Evaluate and influence manufacturing costs, providing recommendations for design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Tooling & Fixtures: Design and procure tooling/fixtures for assembly processes during prototype stages.
  • Line/Process Setup: Define and establish processes and assembly lines for new products.
  • Product Transfer: Facilitate product transfers among global facilities.
  • Technology Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of advanced technologies and innovations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. An M.S. or M.B.A. in Engineering or a related discipline is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience, preferably in electronic manufacturing.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Mandarin or Vietnamese is a plus.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Knowledge of Agile and Valor DFM is preferred.
  • Familiarity with NPI processes and IPC training.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
