In the role of the Electrical Manufacturing Engineering Technician (MET) at the Golden brewery in Golden, CO, you will be part of the Golden Malting Maintenance Team. You will support the department in driving improved electrical reliability through effective facilitation of our asset care program and by supporting both capital and plant projects as the department's assigned Electrical Plant Project Coordinator. You will become fluent in our Brewmaxx operating system and support our ICE craft in troubleshooting operational issues.

This position reports to the Unit Manager of Malting and works closely with the other METs, Equipment Specialist Leader, Maintenance Leads, Line Leads, Skilled Trades, & Operational Teams.

Work schedule will be M-F 10hrs (5x2) straight days.


What You'll Be Brewing: 

  • Safety must be a top priority for you, your teammates and the department.
  • As needed, liaise with equipment manufacturers, parts vendors, third party service suppliers and contractors as needed to support/execute planned and scheduled electrical work.
  • Support both plant and capital projects as the designated Electrical Plant Project Coordinator for Golden Malting. You will know what projects are actively taking place and help liaise between project managers / suppliers and the Malting team.
  • Evaluate problems within the plant's electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems and generate options to find actionable practical solutions.
  • Provide support to department Maintenance Leads by defining electrical scopes of work and working with contractors when necessary.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of preventive maintenance routines, making revisions and recommending improvements to drive electrical reliability.
  • Exercise strong reporting, documentation, communication, and time management skills to optimize our electrical team and processes. 
  • Actively participate in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings and help execute the daily, weekly, and longer-term plans.
  • Support the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling (MPS) Daily Management System by attending weekly planning and scheduling meetings, helping the team with effective prioritization, and helping with staging area organization throughout the department.

Key Ingredients:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must be minimum 21 years of age
  • Related work experience: Industrial Electrical Journeyman and/or on-the-job electrical and controls experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of iFix, Panel View, PLC 5, SLC500, Contrologix, Brewmaxx &/or similar controls schemes.
  • Proficiency with troubleshooting electrical controls, PLC programs and processor-based programs and diagnostic panels. 
  • Experience in troubleshooting, setting up, and calibrating process instrumentation. (Level, Temperature, Pressure, Etc.)
  • Demonstrable evidence of driving initiatives to deliver on challenging objectives.
  • You are confident, competent, diplomatic, and professional. You exercise great judgment in initiating, developing,and maintaining excellent business relationships both internal and external to your immediate team.
  • You are serious about delivering results, and take pride in a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, setting up, and calibrating process instrumentation. (Level, Temperature, Pressure, Etc.)
  • Available and willing to work a 5x2, Monday through Friday schedule.
