Job description

JOB TITLE: AI Implementation Specialist


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for the hands-on technical implementation and delivery of artificial intelligence solutions within our manufacturing environment. Working under the direction of the Director of Technology, this role will execute coding, integration, and deployment work across our Smart Factory Implementation Program spanning machine intelligence, factory automation, ERP integration, supply chain automation, and customer-facing AI automation. This role serves as the technical liaison between software systems, vendors, and internal operational teams to ensure AI initiatives are implemented effectively and aligned with business objectives.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:

Essential
  • Support the end-to-end execution of the Smart Factory Implementation Program across all five phases from initiation through deployment and support under the direction of the Director of Technology.
  • Serve as technical point of contact with external vendors and development partners responsible for software development and technical delivery
  • Execute the implementation and rollout of AI technologies across manufacturing operations including machine health monitoring, vision inspection systems, ERP/MES integrations, and customer-facing AI tools
  • Contribute to status reports and project updates prepared for senior management, including phase-by-phase milestone tracking against the program roadmap
  • Drive internal adoption by supporting training and onboarding of key staff on new AI tools and systems
  • Track and report on project timelines and milestones, flag risks to the Director of Technology.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between software systems and internal operational teams.
  • Review and quality-check code and technical deliverables produced by vendors, ensuring output meets functional requirements, internal standards, and performance expectations prior to deployment
  • Coordinate integrations between AI systems and existing platforms including NetSuite ERP, MES, Fiix CMMS, and OPC Server / PLC infrastructure
  • Willing to work overtime when needed
  • Maintain the responsibilities of the ISO 9001 system in accordance with the requirements defined in the Quality Manual, and Procedure Level documentation
  • Participate actively and positively in Lean activities
  • Assist other team members as required
  • All other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

Essential

  • Experience in project leadership, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, or emerging technology implementations
  • Technical proficiency in software development or scripting sufficient to read, test, and evaluate code quality โ€” ability to independently validate vendor deliverables without relying solely on vendor-provided testing
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and cross-functional teams
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, and familiarity with MES or CMMS platforms is a plus
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management experience preferred

This position will require drug testing per company policy.
