Controller | Trenton, NJ (Hybrid)


Position Summary

The Controller will support a high-growth manufacturing company in Trenton, NJ. This role will oversee cost accounting, financial planning, reporting, and process improvement initiatives while helping build scalable financial processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations leadership on financial planning and analysis
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Support month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, labor, overhead, and profitability
  • Support cost accounting and operational finance activities
  • Assist with CapEx planning, inventory tracking, and related financial analysis
  • Prepare management reporting and provide insight into key business drivers
  • Establish and improve financial processes, controls, and reporting
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • Serve as a finance business partner to cross-functional leadership


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 5+ years of blended experience with accounting and finance.
  • Strong understanding of technical accounting and financial reporting.
  • Experience with cost accounting, inventory, or manufacturing finance preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement mindset.
