Job description

Sportsman Boats is looking for a Quality Control Associate for lamination who will implement quality control measures to ensure high-quality standards are achieved consistently. This position strives to improve quality and manufacturing processes on a daily basis. This position will conduct inspections, audits, and many other daily projects as needed. Our production schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. 
What you will do:

  • Promotes and execute quality standards, inspection processes, instruction, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports
  • Investigate and determine cause of faulty work and consult and advise production Managers, Supervisors and Team Leads as to corrective measures
  • Works closely with department Managers, Supervisors, and Team Leads to ensure good quality product and workmanship standards are being met before boats are completed.
  • Performs real-time quality assurance checks during production processes
  • Participates in improving the work environment through 5S standards
  • Reports data back to originating departments
To be considered you must have:
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Confidence in decision making; willing to push back on production staff when quality or workmanship standards are not being met
  • Strong execution capability, time-management skills, and multitasking; ability to quickly shift priorities in support of production needs
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, ever changing environment
  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Bilingual Spanish/English strongly desirable
