Job description

Job Description
This role combines technical assembly and testing of precision instruments with administrative and system-based responsibilities. The position requires strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems such as SAP, to effectively manage production workflows, documentation, and inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly, Production & Testing
  • Assemble, calibrate, and test instrument devices according to engineering specifications and quality standards
  • Perform assembly, testing, documentation, and administrative control of ECD (radioactive source) for GC instruments in compliance with NRC regulations and internal safety procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during assembly and testing processes
  • Perform routine repairs and support continuous improvement efforts

Materials Handling & Operations Support
  • Execute physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, and equipment
  • Manage material transactions and support production scheduling within ERP systems

Quality & Compliance
  • Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods to ensure compliance with Agilent quality and reliability standards
  • Maintain accurate production records, test results, and compliance documentation using SAP ERP and other digital tools
  • Support regulated activities, including ECD processes, following all applicable safety and compliance requirements
  • Maintain high standards for data accuracy, traceability, and documentation

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company policies, environmental health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Adhere to proper handling procedures for sensitive or regulated components and materials

Qualifications
Education & Experience: Higher education, technical certification, or equivalent experience; typically 3-6 years in manufacturing or operations; SAP/ERP experience preferred
Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems for data entry, inventory, and production tracking; ability to follow work instructions and perform assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
Quality & Compliance: Understanding of quality standards, documentation, and traceability; ability to work in regulated environments; strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Operational Skills: Experience with materials handling, inventory control, and production support; ability to manage multiple priorities; strong problem-solving skills
Communication & Teamwork: Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work cross-functionally; adaptable and willing to learn new tools and processes
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and safely lift/move materials

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $26.08 - $40.75/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
