Description
The Powder Coating Associate is responsible for powder coating a wide variety of products fabricated in our facility including highway equipment, security gates, and other custom metal fabrication. This individual will apply powder coat with spray guns and other coating equipment. The Powder Coating Associate may also be responsible for moving products in and out of the powder coating area using a forklift.

Your role as a Powder Coat Associate:
- Inspect surfaces to be powder coated for imperfections that will impact the process and/or create quality concerns.
- Prepare surface to receive powder coating (i.e. clean the base metal to remove any oils, dirt, or other debris) for the purpose of completing required work.
- Apply powder coating onto parts or completed metal fabrication projects per the work order specifications.
- Inspect powder coated surfaces and touch up areas that do not meet quality control standards prior to releasing finished product from the area.
- Properly clean and maintain spray guns and other powder coating equipment to ensure efficient operation and adherence to quality control standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Ability to read and write in the English language.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Ability to read and interpret computer generated lists.
- Attention to detail and strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
