We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Associate in our Forge Department at the Bakers facility in Monroe, NC. You will play a valuable role performing a variety of tasks within the department such as operating the furnaces, cut-off saw, grinder, Glama, forklift, and crane as you acquire skills on the shop floor through cross training and job rotations.

A successful associate will be able to show attention to detail, be able to follow written and multiple instructions and would require that you demonstrate independence and motivation.You would be responsible for setting up and operating machines safely within the standard operating procedures, detecting faulty equipment and defective material.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Mark dimensions and use correct measuring tools such as tape measures
  • Responsible for adherence to all safety policies, practices, and procedures
  • Work from mill orders and procedures to obtain specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and other instructions to meet customer specifications
  • Maintain all required work and material identification. Verify data collection to maintain logs, records and other paperwork that is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • One (1) year of manufacturing experience
