Manufacturing Shift Supervisor (Direct Hire)

Location: Davie, FL

Position Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $65,000 annually

Schedule: Full-Time

Position Overview

GL Staffing is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Shift Supervisor for a direct hire opportunity with a leading manufacturing company in Davie, Florida. This position is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and compliance with company policies while leading a team of manufacturing employees in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably within a regulated environment such as pharmaceutical, food, nutraceutical, or consumer products manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure production goals are achieved.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate production employees to maximize productivity and maintain high performance.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
  • Enforce compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment, workstations, and employees comply with company policies.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and address any quality concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate staffing assignments and manage employee attendance, performance, and productivity.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development for production staff.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to support efficient operations.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Maintain production reports, shift documentation, and performance records.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience leading production teams in a fast-paced operation.
  • Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and workplace safety standards.
  • Experience with production scheduling, workflow coordination, and quality control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams and effectively manage employee performance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
