TRUMPF Inc.'s registered Apprenticeship program allows you to earn while you learn. In this position, you will master your trade through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom instruction. We will cover the cost of your college tuition in a related manufacturing program. Upon completion of this 2 year / 4,000 hour program, the Connecticut Department of Labor's Office of Apprenticeship Training provides an industry recognized certificate of completion.

Non-Local candidates will need to relocate to Connecticut for the 2-year program (Company assistant available)
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Gain technical knowledge and TRUMPF product knowledge through participation in classroom training at TRMPF Training Department.
  • Gain founded technical knowledge through successful completion of courses provided by colleges and/or technical institutions.
  • Gain knowledge of TRUMPF internal processes through completion of assignments in various departments.
  • Complete written reports after completion of each training segment to document training outcome.
  • Participate in projects, Continuous Improvement and SYNCHRO activity.
  • Travel to customer locations and/or other TRUMPF facilities in the US for training purposes.
  • Apply knowledge and skills gained by joining the field service team after successful completion of apprenticeship program.

Experience

Must have excellent learning skills and good communication and listening skills. Ability to follow instructions and organize to complete tasks fully and on time. Must be eligible to rent a vehicle for travel to customers and must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds without assistance.
