Job description

Pay Range:

Target Salary Range: 124,900 to $125,200

Position Description:

Team Lead, Software QA Engineer for Research & Diagnostic Systems, Inc., Minneapolis, MN:

Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test scripts for IT data projects, including database testing (SQL queries for data validation) and API testing using tools like Postman.

Evaluate and refine testing strategies for proposed projects, offering insights on complex issues through deep analysis of data and variable factors.

Identify, triage, and document incidents related to internal data systems, ensuring timely resolution and communication.

Oversee and maintain the issue tracking process, leveraging a strong understanding of the organization's data ecosystem to prioritize and address issues effectively.

Lead both manual and automated testing efforts, ensuring complete platform test coverage. Utilize test automation tools such as Leapwork and Selenium, with scripting proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript.

Collaborate closely with development teams to diagnose and resolve defects, contributing to faster delivery and improved software quality.

Drive continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices, with hands-on experience in version control, branching strategies and pipeline management using Git and Azure DevOps.

Champion QA best practices and team collaboration, driving continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.

Position permits a hybrid work model and will be onsite 3 days/week.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering or related field and six (6) years of experience as a software quality assurance engineer or related occupation.

Must possess six (6) years of experience with each of the following: Working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors; applying an integrated understanding of an organization's data ecosystems; scripting with Python, Java and JavaScript; test automation with tools such as Leapwork and Selenium; database testing and writing and executing SQL queries for data validation; CI/CD, DevOps Integration and Git; version control systems and Git branching strategies; and API testing using Postman or similar tools. Position permits a hybrid work model and will be onsite 3 days/week.
