Manual Lathe Machinist & CNC Mill & Lathe Operator
Location: Southeast Tulsa | Pay: $23-$26 per hour | Schedule: Monday-Saturday, 5:00 AM-5:00 PM | Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Lathe Machinist and CNC Mill & Lathe Operator to program and operate manual and CNC machines for manufacturing parts based on detailed drawings and instructions. This role involves operating manual mills and lathes, setting up equipment with the correct tooling, and ensuring all parts meet specified dimensions using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers. Additional responsibilities include maintaining high-quality workmanship, performing machine offsets and edits independently, achieving production quotas, and contributing to a clean and organized work environment. As a safety-sensitive position, attendance and participation in R&D design reviews are required.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
The machinist will mentor junior employees, assist lesser-skilled CNC operators, and study blueprints to ensure accurate visualization and execution of designs. The role also includes setting up and operating EDM machines, contributing to team success through critical thinking and sound judgment, and completing additional tasks as assigned. Attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork are essential to success in this role.

Qualification Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Training in CNC programming and operation or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in programming and operating CNC/manual machines.
  • Proficiency with CNC machines, micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
