Job Title: Welder

Department: Manufacturing / Repair
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Production Manager

Position Summary

The Welder is responsible for performing welding, fabrication, and repair work on air coolers and related components used in the aviation industry. This role requires strict adherence to welding specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations to ensure compliance with company, customer, and aviation industry requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform welding and repair work on air coolers and related assemblies in accordance with drawings, work instructions, and specifications
  • Use appropriate welding processes such as TIG, MIG, on materials including aluminum, stainless steel.
  • Repair leaks, cracks, and structural defects in air cooler components
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and conformance to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
  • Maintain dimensional and quality requirements using measuring tools and gauges
  • Properly set up and maintain welding equipment and tools
  • Document work performed as required for quality and traceability purposes
  • Comply with all company quality systems, safety policies, OSHA requirements, and aviation industry standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Work collaboratively with quality, engineering, and production teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Welding certification or formal welding training preferred
