Job description

Summary: The Welding Assistant will work under the supervision of the Welder, and assist the welding department as needed.
Seniority Level: Entry Level
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $20 to $22 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $55,000 and $71,800 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Assist the welding department.
  • Measure and prepare the materials.
  • Utilize power tools.
  • Responsible for general clean-up.
  • Conduct the equipment checklist and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as required and or requested.

Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • This is an entry-level position, we will train.
  • Must be familiar with power tools.
  • Must understand the basic concepts of measurement.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of using a computer or tablet is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
