Job Summary:

The RF Automation Engineer II role involves designing and optimizing a regional portion of the RAN wireless network, including in-building RF systems, MW solutions, and small cells. Responsibilities encompass leading various RF projects, collaborating with different teams such as construction, site acquisition, and customer care, and maintaining CDMA, LTE, VOLTE, and fixed wireless networks

Responsibilities & Duties:

- Design and optimize a regional portion of the RAN wireless network, including in-building RF systems, MW solutions, small cells, and large-scale network optimization.

- Lead various RF projects, coordinating with multiple teams such as construction, site acquisition, network, field engineering, accounting, sales, NMC, and customer care.

- Perform site design and selection, including tower location, height, antenna, and radio equipment decisions, ensuring network congruity with surrounding sites.

- Evaluate and troubleshoot customer tickets related to RF, utilizing tools like TEMS, TEMS pocket, and various mobile devices for drive testing collection and evaluation.

- Manage projects from start to finish, maintaining required timelines and capital expenditure, while also maintaining documentation and organization of RF-related information using database and project management tools.

- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering degree preferred.

- 3-5 years of RF Engineering design and optimization experience.

- Valid driver’s license.

- Advanced understanding of antenna theory, RET capabilities, and wireless networks.
