Faculty Positions | Department of Neurology, UCSF School of Medicine, and UCSF Health, Division of Alcohol and Addiction Research Group | Division of Mechanisms of Neurological Disorders
The Department of Neurology at UCSF is considering applicants for faculty positions at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, and full Professor ranks of the Adjunct and In Residence faculty series. Depending on training and academic focus, successful candidates will be appointed to our Mechanisms of Neurological Disorders Division or Alcohol and Addiction Research Group.
Qualified candidates will possess a medical or doctoral degree and postdoctoral or post-MD residency and fellowship training in their stated field by the time of hire; application materials must state qualifications (or explain if pending) upon submission. Appointees will be expected to participate in research and provide robust laboratory teaching and mentoring to graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, other trainees, and laboratory staff. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 . The minimum base salary range for this position is $106,000-$344,400. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
For positions that are 50% effort or less:
See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $81,500-$246,000.
