Magic Spoon reimagines your childhood breakfasts favorites with more protein, less sugar, and more fun. Since launching in 2019, we've brought our unbelievably tasty cereal to over one million customers online and over 20,000 stores nationwide. With our recently launched Protein Pastries, alongside our Cereal, Protein Treats and Protein Granola, we're continuing to find new ways to make mornings magical - all made possible by our incredible team.

We're looking for an experienced content creator and savvy social media expert to join our growing team. With ample experience growing brand(s) on TikTok and Instagram, this person should be deeply tapped into social meda and trends, as well as be comfortable creating engaging content with the brand at the center. This role will report into our Head of Brand Management.

This is a full time, in-person/hybrid role (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office) based in Tribeca, NYC.

As Social Media Manager & Content Creator, you'll:

Creative Strategy, Planning, & Reporting

  • Own the company's organic content strategy that aligns with business goals and brand growth across channels with a focus on TikTok & Instagram, including recommending content pillars and cadence
  • Accelerate the reach and engagement on Instagram and TikTok 
  • Lead the execution of monthly content calendar including content brainstorming, editing, caption writing and post scheduling 
  • Ideate brand collabs based on pillars and key moments
  • Build out a monthly reporting structure to share out key learnings with internal stakeholders and incorporate learnings into strategy going forward

Content Creation

  • Concept, shoot and edit social content, including short form videos and copy, that delivers against strategy and brand tone/guardrails, while being engaging on their respective social platforms
  • Comfortable in front of the camera as needed (most work likely won't require face on camera)- eg street interviewing, in office content, etc
  • Execute brand collabs and giveaways
  • Partner with internal creative team to execute assets for use across social
  • Partner with sales team to create retail focused content
  • Assist with ad hoc copywriting needs across key channels including paid social, email and web

Community Management

  • Partner with CX lead to infuse brand tone of voice in guidelines
  • Engage with brand content comments and DMs in a way that is on brand, positive, and timely
  • Maintain a pulse on trends, pop culture, current events, competitors and social media best practices, identifying key opportunities for Magic Spoon participation in conversation naturally
  • Source, brief, and manage select external creators to product content
  • Partner with TOF lead to identify influencer collabs

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience with a proven track record of growing a food brand's presence and engagement on Instagram and TikTok
  • Must be comfortable with UGC including filming, editing and being on camera 
  • Demonstrated experience working with video editing platforms such as CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Pro 
  • Up to date with social media trends and what's working and trending on TikTok and Instagram 
  • Experience in social media metrics and monitoring tools (I.e. Sprout Social)
  • Proven ability to be a creative and innovative thinker including excellence in concepting & copywriting
  • A love of all things fitness, healthy eating, and knowledge about key creators and brands in the better for you space

Magic Spoon intends to offer competitive base pay within the stated range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. To further compensate and recognize our employees for their work, our total compensation package includes equity and a robust benefits package. The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $75,000-$115,000.
