Job description

Job Title

Functions as a clinical expert and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care.

Roseburg is the heart of the scenic and recreational paradise known as the Land of Umpqua. Roseburg, centrally located in the Douglas County, Oregon is known for its 359 miles of streams along the north and south forks of the Umpqua River. The community possesses a hardworking, well-trained workforce. These characteristics have proved instrumental in drawing new residents and companies to the region, while keeping families here for generations.

Eugene is the 2nd most populous city in Oregon after Portland. Located in Lane County, Eugene is also referred to as the 'Emerald City' and is at the southern end of Willamette Valley, near the confluence of the McKenzie and Willamette rivers. Home to the University of Oregon, Bushnell University, and Lane Community College, Eugene is known for its college culture, focus on the arts, recreational activities, and green activism. Functions or Scope of Assigned Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Functions as a clinical expert and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care.
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components.
  • Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
  • Executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex client care.
  • Contributes to the development of care delivery models and environmental design, ensuring evidence-based, accessible, affordable, and equitable patient care.
  • Ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Aligns nursing and clinical objectives with organizational strategic outcomes, participating in strategy planning and execution.

Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)

Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
