Job description

We are looking for a Senior Total Rewards Specialist to lead the administration, implementation, and continuous improvement of global Benefits and Mobility programs. Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards, this role will collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective, compliant, and competitive Total Rewards solutions. The Senior Total Rewards Specialist will provide consultation and guidance to business leaders, People Partners, Talent Acquisition partners, employees, and external vendors on benefits, mobility, and related Total Rewards programs while supporting broader Total Rewards initiatives.
This role is open to remote-applicants in Canada (in Provinces where we can hire legally), unless you are near a commuting distance from our Toronto or Vancouver offices. In which case, there would be a hybrid component.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Drive the implementation of global benefit programs, including health and welfare benefits, disability programs, retirement programs and employee wellbeing initiatives, ensuring compliance with local regulations across all locations.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of existing benefit programs and initiatives. Recommend changes based on employee needs, market trends, regulatory requirements and organisational priorities.
  • Lead the implementation of benefit renewals, implementations, vendor transitions and other benefits-related projects to ensure successful delivery of the program.
  • Implement Hootsuite's Global Mobility Programs (permanent relocation, short and long term assignments, business traveler and commuter) and be the first point of contact for employees, Business Leaders, the People team, and external vendors for all mobility related matters.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, People Partners and external stakeholders to deliver mobility solutions that support evolving workforce patterns, meet business goals, and maintain compliance for our mobility and foreign national populations.
  • Manage business relationships with vendors, consultants, benefit brokers, and insurers ; partner to benchmark programs and ensure they remain competitive, sustainable and compliant.
  • Provide advice and guidance to employees, People Partners, leaders and other stakeholders regarding global mobility and benefit programs, eligibility and administration.
  • Create, update and maintain resources and guidelines for employees, managers, and our the Talent Acquisition and People Partner teams (e.g. information sessions, guideline documents, etc.)
  • Work closely with Payroll, Finance, and external vendors to support accurate benefit deductions, invoicing and reconciliation.
  • Support the delivery of compensation programs and annual cycles such as merit, promotions and pay equity processes.
  • Actively contribute to the implementation of Total Rewards initiatives/projects throughout the year including equity compensation programs, as needed.
  • Mentor and guide other members of the TR team in the relevant work areas, including global Benefits and Mobility.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelors' degree in any discipline with 5-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Bonus Points: CEBS designation, Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant or working towards it
  • Advanced level of expertise in global benefits and regulatory compliance
  • Understanding of global mobility concepts, policies and processes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate and present complex solutions and concepts to the business, the People Team and Senior Leadership
  • Basic knowledge in immigration, tax, relocation and social security policies and procedures
