Job description

Hourly pay rate: $22.48

Job Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing your work area

  2. Includes the use of chemical cleaners, sanitizers and acids to maintain compliance with the Jennie-O Turkey Store and USDA regulations

  3. Any and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

 * Able to work in a Food plant (which may be cold and damp or hot and humid)

 * Good written and verbal communication skills

 * Thorough knowledge of all jobs and chemicals used within the department

 * Ability to work with minimal supervision

 * Simple math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required

 * No attendance work actions in the last 6 months

 * No performance work actions in the last 6 months

 * PHYSICAL: Able to climb stairs and/or work on elevated stands or platforms

 * Able to lift 50 lbs. on an occasional basis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience with foaming equipment operation and maintenance

Specific training and experience in the use of caustics, sanitizers and acids
