You are a person who loves to gather, analyze, format, translate, and write complex information into user-friendly documentation. In the role of ClaimsXM Technical Writer, you will act as a communication bridge between subject-matter experts (Operational Staff, Developers, Data Engineers) and front-end users.

About The Position

  • Research and Analysis - Collaborate with various operational users, technical staff, and clients to gather accurate technical information for the documentation.
  • Review details from the various sources to determine what needs to be included in the materials.
  • Writing, Editing, Formatting - Design the gathered information together in a logical manner using diagrams, charts, etc. for various audiences to comprehend.
  • Create, write, format, and maintain all IT governance documentation including policies, procedures, SOPs, etc.
  • Test & Redesign -- review the content for consistency, accuracy, and grammar and perform test with subjects for understanding.
  • Maintain the yearly review and updates on all IT governance documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills -- ability to convey complicated ideas in a simple manner.
  • Public speaking, formal presentation, and training skills.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years technical writing and training experience in a fast passed IT organization.
  • Experience working directly with technical and operational team members.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Products including -- Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to learn new processes, software, hardware and technical concepts quickly.
  • Analytical mindset - ability to digest large amounts of data and extract relevant information to build materials.
  • Time Management -- skills to juggle multiple projects while meeting strict publication deadlines.
  • Capacity to determine the technical proficiency of the readers and adapt tone, vocabulary, and structure accordingly.
  • Knowledge of the 7 C's of Technical Writing.
  • Proficiency with documentation software.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Achieved a bachelor's degree in communication, English, or IT related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and Trizetto Products.
  • Experience in the medical insurance field.
