Join Lam as an IT Engineer, where you'll be at the forefront of designing, analyzing, and implementing applications and systems that form the foundation of our infrastructure. As a crucial member of our IT team, you'll contribute your technical assistance and guidance to projects for various systems and infrastructures. Acting as a technical liaison, you'll address complex business problems with automated systems solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving Lam's commitment to innovation and efficiency.
What you'll do
The Teamcenter Solution Architect is responsible for designing, reviewing, and guiding end-to-end Teamcenter solutions that support product lifecycle management at enterprise scale. This role requires strong hands-on experience in Teamcenter development, customization, and code reviews, along with deep functional expertise in engineering change management and BOM management. The ideal candidate has led large-scale PLM transformation programs and can align business needs with scalable, supportable, and high-quality Teamcenter solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and architect Teamcenter solutions across core PLM areas including BOM management, engineering change management, workflows, and data model extensions.
  • Lead technical design reviews and perform code reviews to ensure solution quality, maintainability, performance, and adherence to architectural standards.
  • Provide hands-on guidance for Teamcenter development and customization using standard frameworks and best practices.
  • Drive large-scale Teamcenter transformation initiatives, including process harmonization, migration strategy, solution rollout, and integration planning.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Teamcenter solution designs aligned with enterprise architecture and product development processes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and system integrators to deliver robust end-to-end PLM capabilities.
  • Define technical standards, governance practices, and design guardrails for customizations, integrations, and platform evolution.
  • Support architecture decisions related to performance, scalability, upgradeability, and long-term sustainment of the Teamcenter platform.

Who we're looking for
  • Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 12 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience in Teamcenter solution architecture, development, configuration, and customization.
  • Hands-on experience conducting development reviews and code reviews for Teamcenter custom solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale PLM or Teamcenter transformation programs across complex enterprise environments.
  • Deep functional knowledge of Teamcenter Engineering Change Management processes and capabilities.
  • Strong expertise in BOM management, including product structures, revisions, and change-controlled BOM processes.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, IT, and business functions.
  • Ability to create architecture documents, technical designs, and implementation guidance for delivery teams.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with Teamcenter data model design, workflow configuration, integration architecture, Active Workspace, and enterprise system integrations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices, technical governance, and delivery in agile transformation programs is a plus.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 - $287,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
