Job Summary:

Federal Government contractor is seeking an experienced Siemens Teamcenter Functional Architect / Implementation Lead for a part-time engagement with an anticipated duration of six (6) months. The Functional Architect / Implementation Lead is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and implementation of the Siemens Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution in support of a federal program—covering product data, document, configuration, and change management. This individual serves as the primary functional authority for the Teamcenter solution, translating business and engineering requirements into a properly architected, standards-based configuration and guiding the solution from design through deployment and user adoption. Focus is on the effective implementation of business processes, usability, and data accuracy within the application. The position calls for excellent communication skills, effective presentation skills, and strong leadership skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the functional lead and solution architect for the Siemens Teamcenter PLM implementation, owning the end-to-end configuration and rollout across the program.
  • Elicit and document PLM requirements and specifications from functional users, engineering staff, and subject matter experts.
  • Review, analyze, define, and document business functions and processes related to product data, document, configuration, and change management.
  • Define alternatives and make recommendations to enhance and/or streamline PLM business processes.
  • Translate customer requirements into a best fit within Teamcenter, and develop processes and documentation that support the SDLC.
  • Design and configure the Teamcenter data model and business objects (BMIDE), workflows, access rules (ACLs), organization, classification, and structure/BOM management.
  • Configure and support change management, document management, and Active Workspace to meet program requirements.
  • Develop and maintain standard systems requirement documents including but not limited to: business process workflows, Functional Requirements Documents, Requirement Traceability Matrix, and use cases.
  • Define and support integration of Teamcenter with CAD, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
  • Plan and support data migration, functional testing, cutover, and go-live activities, and provide post-implementation support and user training.
  • Apply PLM knowledge and industry best practices in developing the to-be business processes and procedures.
  • Meet deadlines and manage multiple, dynamic priorities in a fast-paced federal program environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or other technically relevant degree.
  • 8+ years of PLM / product data management experience, with a minimum of four years of functional experience implementing and configuring Siemens Teamcenter.

Required Skills:

  • Versed in the design, configuration, implementation, testing, and deployment of Siemens Teamcenter PLM.
  • 8+ years of experience in PLM or product data management, with a minimum of four years of functional experience with Siemens Teamcenter.
  • Hands-on experience configuring Teamcenter core functionality: data model / business objects (BMIDE), workflow designer, access management (ACLs), organization, classification, and structure/BOM management.
  • Experience configuring change management, document management, and Active Workspace.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating them into a configured, best-fit application solution supporting the full SDLC.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail, be organized, and able to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and executives.
  • Must be a team player and be able to adjust to a dynamic working environment for a government agency.
  • Must have strong written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience implementing Teamcenter for federal or Department of Defense customers.
  • Experience integrating Teamcenter with CAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX) and/or ERP systems.
  • Teamcenter technical/administration experience (installation, upgrade, or two-tier/four-tier deployment) is a plus.
  • Relevant Siemens Teamcenter certifications.
  • Experience working with Agile development teams.
