Job description

The Maintenance Manager position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties including but not limited to securing the effective management of all maintenance operations, compliance regulations and development of technicians in accordance with GPR standards.

Primary Essential Functions:

  • Oversee delivery on Gold Crown level service.
  • Direct maintenance team on operations, service standards, procedures, equipment, and work schedules.
  • Communicate with various departments to identify proactive and reactive approaches to facility concerns and executes a plan to resolve.
  • Oversee, execute and ensure continuous improvement of the Preventative Maintenance Program and other compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Knowledgeable of property layout, various room floor plans, and any proposed modifications.
  • Manage all associate related matters such as recruitment, performance management, training, career planning and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to improve equipment inventory, quality audits, productivity and other target objectives.
  • Remain knowledgeable of hotel services and facilities, special promotions, daily activities, groups in house, and special requests. Communicate professionally with guests, owners, and associates.
  • Enforce guidelines regarding health and safety company policies and procedures.
  • Remain knowledgeable of emergency procedures, documents and reports if applicable.
  • Exemplify the proper appearance of uniform and nametag usage.
  • Assist with any additional tasks or special projects as assigned by General Manager.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, owners, and associates.

Education, Skills & Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, thorough, and professional. Consistently provides exemplary customer service to both guests, owners, supervisors and associates.
  • A degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of management/supervisory experience in the maintenance, janitorial or construction industry.
  • Ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency without compromising quality.
  • Professional communication skills, with guests, supervisors and associates.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, math, and computer skills, exposure to budgeting and accounting desired.
