WHAT TO EXPECT

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and utilities. This role provides direct leadership to maintenance technicians, prioritizes and coordinates work orders, and supports preventive and predictive maintenance programs. The Maintenance Supervisor also drives continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing equipment downtime, improving reliability, and maximizing overall equipment performance while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities (to name a few):
  • Lead, supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and support personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan, prioritize, schedule, and assign daily maintenance activities to ensure timely completion of work orders and alignment with production requirements.
  • Manage employee performance, including training and development, scheduling, attendance, performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective or disciplinary actions as appropriate.
  • Lead troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability, maximize uptime, and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Monitor and drive maintenance performance metrics, including equipment downtime, preventive maintenance compliance, work order completion, equipment reliability, and other key performance indicators.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are performed in compliance with company safety, environmental, quality, and operational policies and procedures.
  • Lead maintenance safety meetings, audits, inspections, and corrective actions to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Partner with production and operations teams to coordinate maintenance activities, resolve equipment issues, and minimize disruptions to manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, CMMS records, work orders, equipment histories, and departmental records.
  • Support the development and management of maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and critical equipment replacement strategies.
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, commissioning, upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts to address equipment failures, recurring issues, and reliability concerns.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, operational efficiency, cost reduction, maintenance effectiveness, and overall equipment performance.
  • Coordinate external maintenance resources, including vendor selection, contractor management, and service provider performance.
ABOUT YOU
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing systems.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), including work order management and maintenance scheduling.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities, with the ability to drive accountability and performance.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple maintenance activities and competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across maintenance, production, engineering, and other functional teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, equipment reliability, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
