Job Description: 
In the role of Field Manager (Superintendent), you will be responsible for overseeing the on-site execution of our residential construction projects from start to finish. Your primary focus will be coordinating all on-site activities, managing subcontractors, and upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the building process. This position is vital to our success and calls for a confident leader with excellent communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of residential construction practices.
Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations to deliver homes within the established budget.
  • Effectively communicate with sales staff, homeowners, and realtors to deliver a great customer service experience. 
  • Manage all aspects of on-site construction activities from project initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise trade contractors and material suppliers to ensure adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and enforce compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Promptly and effectively resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
  • Maintain regular communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
  • Ensure the timely availability of materials and equipment on-site to keep construction activities on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and inspection logs.
  • Open all homes under construction by 7:45 AM each day and ensure they are securely closed before leaving.
  • Manage third-party and city inspections to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in residential construction.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, permitting processes, and inspection procedures.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to connect effectively with a wide range of individuals and personality types.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent phone etiquette.
  • Consistently professional in appearance, attitude, and conduct.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure commitments and manage expectations across teams.
  • Highly organized and detail-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel locally as needed; must have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and current insurance coverage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Comfortable with uploading photos, editing and managing data, and using web-based construction platforms (e.g., MarkSystems)
Annual Salary Starting at $75,000 & Up based on experience and qualifications.
