Job description

About Finch
We believe every American household deserves access to counsel in life's biggest moments. At Finch, we're building the infrastructure to make justice radically more accessible. Our modern approach to consumer law automates the admin work and puts clients first, starting with personal injury.
In just over a year, we've grown 10x, raised a $20M Series A, and become the pre-litigation partner of choice for top personal injury firms across the country. We believe the best outcomes happen when expert operators and purpose-built AI work together - which is why we handle every step of pre-lit, from intake and claim opening to medical records, lien management, and demands, with humans leading every case.
We're backed by Sequoia, Redpoint, and the founders & CEOs of generational companies like DoorDash, Ironclad, and Digits. We're rebuilding how the law serves everyday Americans from first principles, and we're hiring exceptional operators to help us scale it nationwide.
This Role
  • Finch is building the operational engine that powers the best law firms in the country-and Strategy & Operations sits at the center of that mission. As part of this team, you'll work across multiple facets of our business to design the systems, workflows, and experiences that help firms run more efficiently, deliver better client outcomes, and scale with predictability.
  • This is a versatile role for someone who thrives at the intersection of process design, structured problem-solving, and cross-functional execution. You'll dive deep into how work moves today, identify friction points, and craft high-leverage solutions that elevate the experience for firms, legal ops teams, and clients. Depending on your strengths and interests, your work may span case workflows, firm interfaces, legal ops experience, or broader operational scaling efforts.
  • You'll blend analytical rigor with practical empathy-thinking holistically about the needs of attorneys, clients, and internal teams-while building systems that allow Finch to deliver fast, clear, high-quality outcomes as we grow.

You Will:
  • Analyze existing workflows and operational patterns to identify bottlenecks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement across multiple parts of the business.
  • Design scalable processes, playbooks, and standards that create clarity, improve consistency, and support predictable case outcomes.
  • Define interfaces and communication models that make collaboration seamless-whether with firms assigning work, clients awaiting updates, or internal teams executing tasks.
  • Partner with product and engineering to translate operational needs into tools, automations, and app experiences that support high-quality execution.
  • Develop metrics and visibility mechanisms that help teams understand performance, uncover operational risks, and measure progress.
  • Collaborate across Case Workflow, Law Firm Experience, and Legal Ops Experience depending on company priorities and your strengths.
  • Test, iterate, and refine operational systems as volumes grow, firm needs evolve, and new product capabilities come online.
  • Contribute to Finch's evolving operating model, helping us scale efficiently without sacrificing the human-touch experience firms and clients depend on.
Your Team: Strategy & Operations
S&O at Finch is the tip of the spear: we identify the most important problems and opportunities for growth, and solve them fast. We own playbooks, workflows, and experiments that move the business forward. You'll work cross-functionally with Legal Ops, Product & Engineering, and Growth to deliver 10x improvements for our attorney partners, their clients, and our internal teams. We value velocity, grit, ownership, and - above all - optimism.
You Might Be a Fit if You:
  • Have 3-5+ years in a problem-solving role (e.g., consulting, BizOps, Strategy, Tech)
  • Have experience building zero-to-one systems or teams
  • Love navigating ambiguity and operating with urgency
  • Can zoom out to define strategy and dive deep to execute
  • Care deeply about client experience and operational excellence
At Finch Legal, we believe in practicing what we advocate.
As a company dedicated to upholding justice and protecting people in the workplace, we are equally committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment within our own walls. We welcome and support individuals from all backgrounds and lived experiences - regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or veteran status.
We recognize that diversity strengthens our team, enriches our perspectives, and empowers us to better serve our clients and communities. At Finch Legal, inclusion isn't just a value - it's a practice.
