Job description
This role will serve as the central connector ("through line") across multiple education workstreams, ensuring alignment, execution, and progress toward key institutional goals, including accreditation, program growth, learner engagement, and long-term revenue potential.
The Program Manager will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to unify efforts across Continuing Professional Education (CPE), Graduate Medical Education (GME), and Undergraduate Medical Education (UME). This individual will help coordinate a cohesive and scalable education ecosystem that aligns business objectives, digital strategy, learner experience, technology platforms, and operational processes.
Success in this role will require strong program leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive alignment across education, communications and marketing, digital, technology, analytics, and vendor partners.
Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leader in life changing breakthroughs in cancer research and patient care. We are united in our mission of conquering cancer, HIV/AIDS, and related diseases. We strive to create an inclusive, diverse, and equitable environment where we provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all backgrounds, and design programs to promote public health particularly among high-risk and underserved populations. We conduct groundbreaking research that advances treatment, we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers, and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.
Key Responsibilities

- Break down silos across teams by driving structured communication, governance, and shared planning processes
- Develop and maintain integrated program roadmaps, milestones, success metrics, and executive reporting
- Coordinate activities across multiple initiatives to ensure progress toward strategic education goals
- Establish governance processes that support effective decision-making and accountability
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
- Partner with education leaders, program owners, and key stakeholders to ensure consistent alignment and visibility
- Facilitate steering committees, working sessions, stakeholder reviews, and executive updates
- Build strong relationships across departments to drive collaboration and shared ownership
- Proactively identify risks, gaps, and dependencies and drive resolution plans
- Escalate issues and recommendations appropriately to maintain program momentum
Digital Ecosystem Alignment & Learner Experience
- Partner closely with Education, Digital, Marketing, and IT stakeholders to ensure education initiatives align with organizational digital strategy, brand standards, and learner experience objectives
- Serve as the coordinating lead across the education technology ecosystem, helping align platforms, processes, and stakeholder priorities to support a seamless learner journey
- Facilitate planning and decision-making across key platforms including the education website, accreditation platform, learning management system (LMS), CRM, marketing automation tools, and analytics capabilities
- Collaborate with Communications & Marketing to ensure digital experiences support institutional branding, audience engagement, and content strategy objectives
- Identify dependencies, integration needs, and operational impacts across platforms and workstreams, escalating risks and recommendations as appropriate
- Support business requirements gathering, vendor coordination, and platform evaluations where needed to advance strategic education goals
Vendor Management & Execution
- Partner with and help manage external vendors supporting platform implementation, education initiatives, and digital experiences
- Ensure vendors are aligned to project goals, timelines, deliverables, and quality expectations
- Track progress and hold partners accountable to agreed-upon milestones and outcomes
- Coordinate vendor activities with internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution
Operational Infrastructure & Scalability
- Help define and implement scalable processes to support program growth, accreditation requirements, and operational efficiency
- Drive standardization across workflows, reporting, governance, and performance tracking
- Support development of operational models that enable sustainable program expansion
- Establish reporting frameworks and performance measures to support strategic decision-making
- Contribute to long-term planning for growth, learner engagement, and program sustainability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
