*** Currently we are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager.

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in managing sales, profits, staffing, image, and operation of the store. Under the direction of the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager will proactively lead the store to ensure the success of business goals in revenues, expense, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory shrinkage, and employee morale. The Assistant Store Manager will provide customers and associates with outstanding service through friendly, quick, efficient, accurate and safe assistance.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience in retail/restaurant or customer service environment required, previous experience in management preferably of a grocery store highly desirable

The ideal candidate must possess the following licenses:

  • Possesses a food handling license
  • Possesses a forklift operating license desirable but not required
  • Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or will be required to attend company paid training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment. Accreditation must be maintained while employed in a position in which it is required

Summary of the Position:

Assistant Store Manager is the one of the key leaders for the defined store, who work closely between store manager and the store teams to achieve store goals. Assistant Store Manager serves as a role model for building relationships with customers and maintain presence through store supervision to ensure appropriate staff coverage in all areas of the store.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works in tandem with the Store Manager in directing and leading all aspects of the day-to-day store operations and is responsible for overall direction and leadership of store-operations in collaboration with the Store Manager.
  • Be responsible for and determines final decisions on store operations in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Be responsible for managing store conditions, product quality, store inventory, team schedule, workflow arrangement due to the sales traffic at all times, even when the Store Manager is present
  • Maintain orderly, presentable appearance of the store.
  • Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and develops / maintains awareness of new products
  • Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs and directs Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers; responds promptly to customer needs and questions
  • Support store manager on purchase inventory based on current trends, availability of new products and customer interest
  • Support store manager on sales and customer reports and make recommendations for improvements
  • Ensure employees' health and safety. Implement and fulfill the safety policies at workplace.
  • Make sure the quality consistence cross department/sections in store.
  • Be responsible for store team management including implement policies and procedures, smooth store operation communication channel and method, update store operation calendar, and other related topics.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and ownership especially in the emergency situation.
  • Other signed responsibilities.
