Job description

BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
Responsible for managing inventory levels to maintain the proper balance between inventory investments and fill rates. Analyze Demand Planning, Forecast and Replenishment system by reviewing forecast exceptions and providing forecast information for items without sufficient demand history (e.g. new parts, slow-moving parts, and parts with quality issues). Manage and Execute Parts New Model Launch process to achieve New Model Launch Parts readiness objectives. Analyzes and researches unexpected demand to develop a forecast to be used by Parts Demand Planning, Forecast and Replenishment system.  Ensures correct parameters are in place so system recommendations are compatible with the ordering requirements of the vendor. Analyze and research at a Part level, forecast and inventory requirements to achieve Product level fill rate and inventory goals.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures, and guidelines:
Manage forecast of high volume and new parts and monitor inventory levels to achieve customer fill rate and inventory objectives.

Develop historical trends, “like” Products and Parts, and Sales and Marketing data to apply a best fit forecast to achieve fill rate and inventory objectives.
Oversees all aspects of service parts new model launch process and achieves product launch readiness objectives.
Manage inventory management solutions such as forecasting, stock level, replenishment and deployment.
Initiates and improves demand planning processes, fill rates, inventory performance, and supply chain costs.
Primary area of focus will be on new model launch, early life and end of life Parts.
Analyze part master data including lead times, price, and supplier sourcing requirements.
Monitor, generate and interpret results of reports necessary to support parts availability and fill rates.
Produce detailed analysis with organized conclusions for presentation.
Demonstrate cross-functional supply chain knowledge with the ability to provide overall supply guidance to other functional areas (Service, Engineering, Product Management, Operations, IT, etc.)
Other duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial or Supply Chain Engineering from an accredited University preferred:
In lieu of a degree at least 5 years of inventory management or supply chain management education and/or experience required.
With a degree at least 3 years of inventory management required.
Expert knowledge of Aftermarket Service Parts. Knowledge of the industrial, Agricultural or Construction industries is preferred.
SAP ERP (APO, WM, BW), forecasting-planning systems, and warehouse management systems experience is preferred.
Detailed knowledge of Inventory Management philosophies.
Technical knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft office programs.
Knowledgeable in statistical programming software (R, SAS or Tableau).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Typical office environment.
