What You'll Do - You'll Make the Moment

  • Deliver analytics and insights from Guest, Loyalty, and Marketing Activation datasets to support defined use cases, business decisions, and audience strategy.
  • Develop and own measurement frameworks for segmentation, personalization, lifecycle performance (engagement/churn), and campaign effectiveness, including multivariate testing and controlled experiments.
  • Translate complex analyses into clear narratives and recommendations for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders; define audience targets and implications for strategy and execution.
  • Lead standard reporting and dashboarding by creating, automating, scheduling, and maintaining recurring reports and insights for business consumption.
  • Perform advanced ad hoc analyses to answer critical business questions and support strategic decisions.
  • Serve as the data subject matter expert and business owner for customer data platforms, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and analytical standards.
  • Own and manage the roadmap for new/enhanced customer data and measurement capabilities, including prioritizing enhancements, bug fixes, new features, and analytics requests.
  • Develop new tools, statistical models, and analytics processes to grow first-party measurement capabilities, leveraging internal/external datasets, controlled experiments, and scalable automation.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, data product managers/SMEs, and business users to define requirements, approve solutions, and support implementation.
  • Create and maintain design documentation for data integration and analytics projects; participate in data/analytics design reviews and code reviews.
  • Stay current on analytics, MarTech, and measurement trends and apply learnings to improve tools, processes, and insight delivery.
  • Manage timelines and stakeholder expectations; communicate proactively and deliver commitments with a high bar for quality.
  • Partner with the Loyalty/CRM team to define KPIs and measure performance for Cracker Barrel Rewards, CRM, and total Guest health.
  • Continually advance the team's analytical capabilities, including predictive modeling, test-and-learn, automation, incremental analysis, and other sophisticated methodologies.
  • Manage and mentor 1-2 analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, statistics, mathematics, economics, marketing/business, or a similar quantitative field OR equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years in data analytics (including data engineering and transformation), with 5+ years in a senior/leadership role; proven experience leading analytics projects and managing direct reports.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience working with large datasets (especially Guest, Loyalty, and marketing interaction-level data) in cloud environments such as Snowflake (digital data analytics a plus).
  • 7+ years of analytics experience supporting marketing, Loyalty, CRM, personalization, and/or audience strategy in retail or hospitality environments.
  • 5+ years developing analytic techniques (e.g., segmentation analysis, predictive modeling, forecasting, simulation modeling) and applying them to activation strategy and measurement and business decision-making.
  • 7+ years creating data visualizations and delivering insights to technical and non-technical audiences; experience building sophisticated dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc. (expert-level Power BI developer preferred).

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expert-level SQL skills
  • Proficiency in R, Python, or other statistical analysis tools
  • Expertise in data-wrangling and data cleansing, able to sift through multiple data sets to create bespoke insights
  • Expertise in building and automating Guest and Marketing Activation dashboards using BI data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
  • Proficiency using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate code development (e.g., code generation, refactoring, debugging) while validating outputs for correctness and data quality
  • Ability to create clear, reusable prompts and prompt templates that enable self-service analytics for business partners (including defining context, constraints, and expected outputs)
  • Working knowledge of responsible AI practices for analytics (data privacy, security, bias awareness, and human-in-the-loop review) when using generative AI with internal data
  • Experience documenting best practices and enablement materials (prompt libraries, examples, and guardrails) to drive adoption of self-service insights
  • Deep familiarity with Marketing Technology platforms, data structure, and analysis. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Customer Data Platforms, etc., highly desired
  • Subject matter expert in Loyalty, Guest, and CRM analytics with strong test-and-learn experience (experience in media measurement, attribution, and digital analytics is a plus)
  • Proven experience with marketing finance terminology and frameworks, including incrementality analysis, action optimization, and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities - lead and influence teams across departments to accomplish program projects and goals
  • Ability to be curious and analytical, with a deep understanding of Guest data and marketing initiatives
  • Proactive self-starter with experience driving critical initiatives; ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
