EXPERIENCED EXCAVATOR OPERATOR

Rummel Construction is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cut/fill and mass excavation projects, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment at all times. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring knowledge of jobsite hazards, safety precautions, and awareness of earthmoving operations across a variety of projects.

In this role you will load off-road haul trucks, perform grading work with an excavator, and hammering as well.

This position may involve travel depending on project needs.

You'll be working alongside experienced operators who prioritize safety, teamwork, and efficiency.

Typical schedules are Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work based on project demands.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Safely get on and off equipment using 3 points of contact

  • Conduct daily routine inspections on assigned equipment and report defects to supervisors

  • Walk safely on 2:1 slopes throughout the jobsite

  • Work safely in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet, etc.)

  • Approximately 2-4+ years of experience in the construction industry

  • Experience in earthmoving and heavy construction, including cut/fill operations across various projects

  • Experience operating excavators, including use of hydraulic hammer attachments preferred

  • Ability to operate or assist with off-road haul trucks and grading work

  • Willingness to travel based on company and project needs
