Job description

Sales Training Program – Reverse Mortgage Loan Officer

Launch your career in the reverse mortgage industry with the backing of one of America's most trusted financial brands — Mutual of Omaha, a Fortune 300 organization with over 100 years of stability.

What to Expect

Your journey begins with an immersive one-month virtual classroom experience, where you'll build a strong foundation in reverse mortgage products, sales fundamentals, compliance, systems, and customer conversations.

After completing the virtual classroom, you'll transition into a comprehensive 12-month development program designed to accelerate your success. You'll participate in weekly skill-building sessions, receive personalized one-on-one coaching from experienced sales leaders, and apply what you've learned through real-world customer interactions.

Our goal isn't simply to help you become licensed or originate your first loan—it's to develop confident, knowledgeable, high-performing mortgage professionals with the skills, coaching, and support to build a rewarding long-term career.

Who we're looking for:

We especially encourage experienced traditional mortgage loan originators to apply. If you understand the lending business and want to serve a growing, underserved market — retirees looking to strategically strengthen their retirement income — we want to talk!

Don't have your NMLS license? No problem. We'll help you obtain and pay for your NMLS license.

If you have a proven track record of success in sales and are looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while building a rewarding career, we want to hear from you. Our associates help retirees make confident, informed financial decisions, to improve their quality of life. The most successful professionals in this role are those who build trust, ask thoughtful questions, listen with intention, and serve as trusted advisors through one of the most important financial decisions their clients will make.

What you can expect to earn:

  • To assist with the transition you are covered with a monthly base during the 12 month training program.
  • Established Loan Officers in our program routinely earn $100,000+

What sets us apart:

  • The brand recognition and credibility of Mutual of Omaha behind every conversation
  • Industry-leading training from the nation's top reverse mortgage sales leaders
  • A revolutionary sales process for working with both consumers and referral professionals
  • World-class sales, marketing, and operations support from day one

Benefits include:

  • Multiple PPO Medical Plans, including an HDHP-eligible option
  • Dental and Vision Coverage
  • Paid Sick Time — 40 hours after 90 days (state requirements applied as applicable)
  • 9 Paid Holidays + 1 Cultural Celebration Day (Floating Holiday)
  • 401(k) with generous employer match
  • Company Paid Life Insurance
