Summary:

Crazy Shirts purpose is to create original and memorable artwork on quality products that take our customers on the endless vacation in everyday life. The Retail Assistant Manager supports this purpose by working with the Store Manager to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the store.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Work with the Store Manager to ensure that all aspects of the store are operating smoothly and in the best interest of the Company, its employees and its customers.
  • Responsible for effectively leading and managing a team including sales associates and in some cases sales supervisors.
  • Maintain high morale and level of cooperation among employees through counseling, guidance, positive reinforcement and recognition.
  • Leads, directs, motivates, and develops the Retail staff to achieve desired store and company outcomes.
  • In partnership with store or area manager, ensures appropriate staffing levels to meet customer service demands and makes decisions regarding the need to hire new employees, and increase or reduce payroll hours for existing employees.
  • Handles employee concerns, or complaints, by partnering with Human Resources to determine resolutions, or if applicable, disciplinary or corrective actions.
  • Maintain company standards and hold staff accountable for providing quality customer service and achieving store/company goals.
  • Learn all aspects of store management and be willing to grow into a Retail Sales Management position once one becomes available.
  • Have a sense of urgency and able to meet timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
