Job description

The instructor reports to the Lead Instructor. The Resolve Maritime Instructor is responsible for correct and safe instructing of all classes, lecture and practical, assigned to by lead instructor.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Function as an instructor in the teaching/instructing of Resolve Maritime Academy classes.
  • Function as an Emergency Response Team Member / Fire Fighting Strike Team member used for deployment.
  • Ensure the strict adherence to Resolve Maritime Academy policy and procedures, and the correct maintenance of the simulators and surrounding areas.
  • Be able to use all teaching aids.
  • Work with the Fire School Training Manager to assess and refine classroom and practical portions of existing classes.
  • Work toward completion of instructor IQM.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe training environment.
  • Treat all students, fellow instructors and Resolve employees with respect.
  • Report any injuries to Lead Instructor, Training Manager or Fire School Manager as soon as possible.
  • Complete all required paperwork.
  • Other duties as assigned.
