Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and detailed evaluations to create tailored treatment plans that address the unique circumstances of each client.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions across diverse settings, including individual, couple, family, and group counseling sessions.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, ensuring interventions are aligned with client goals.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow healthcare professionals—such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers—to guarantee comprehensive care for clients.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records, ensuring all documentation meets ethical guidelines and legal standards while remaining up-to-date with client progress.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and staying informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services, ideally in a clinical or community health setting.
• Specialization in fields such as trauma, substance abuse, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations related to counseling practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships with diverse client populations.
• Experience working cohesively within multidisciplinary teams and a commitment to collaborative care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and relevant software tools.

Preferred Experience

• A background in community health, particularly with outpatient services, is advantageous.
• Experience providing telehealth services is preferred, given the remote nature of this role.
• Engagement in specialized training related to trauma-informed care or culturally responsive practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, based on your caseload and experience.
