Chief Operating Officer (COO) GUAPI

Job description:

About GUAPI

GUAPI is a fast-scaling global premium streetwear brand, with strong traction across the US, Japan, and Europe. Known for bold design, limited drops, and cultural relevance, GUAPI is now entering a critical phase: transitioning from a fast-growing brand into a structured, scalable, and investor-ready company.

Challenges You Will Solve

  • Lack of structured processes across operations, CX, and logistics
  • Improving systems between Shopify, 3PL, and internal workflows
  • Inefficient handling of preorders vs available inventory
  • Poor visibility on profitability and SKU-level performance
  • High dependency on manual work and team coordination
  • Growth initiatives not translating into consistent revenue
  • National & International growth to be fully structured

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Structure & Execution

  • Build and implement SOPs across all departments (CX, logistics, wholesale, finance)
  • Fix operational inefficiencies in:
    • CX quality
    • inventory flow
    • preorder management
  • Ensure daily execution discipline across teams

2. Systems & Process Optimization

  • Align and optimize:
    • Shopify
    • 3PL (Quiet / Stord)
    • internal tools (Gorgias, Klaviyo, etc.)
  • Reduce manual errors (e.g., fulfillment mistakes, stock mismatches)
  • Implement scalable workflows and automation

3. Revenue Execution Support

  • Ensure growth initiatives actually translate into:
    • revenue
    • sell-through
  • Align:
    • marketing
    • wholesale
    • inventory strategy
  • Support better product drop planning (avoid cannibalization)

4. Team Management & Accountability

  • Introduce clear KPIs across all teams
  • Manage remote global team
  • Hold departments accountable for:
    • execution
    • performance
    • timelines
  • Maintain consistent quality across all departments every day.

5. Scaling Infrastructure

  • Build the internal structure required to scale from:
    • $12M $30M+ revenue
  • Define org structure (who to hire, when, and why)
  • Reduce founder dependency in operations

6. Financial & Reporting Readiness

  • Work closely with accounting to:
    • ensure accurate monthly P&L
    • improve inventory-based COGS tracking
  • Build investor-ready reporting
  • Prepare the company for:
    • due diligence
    • potential sale or fundraising

Ideal Candidate

  • 815+ years in operations / COO / Head of Operations roles
  • Experience scaling fashion / e-commerce / streetwear brands
  • Strong understanding of:
    • inventory & supply chain
    • DTC + wholesale models
  • Proven ability to:
    • fix messy operations
    • build structure from chaos
  • Experience preparing companies for:
    • investment or acquisition (big plus)
  • Highly execution-focused (not just strategy)

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation (base + performance bonus)
  • High ownership and decision-making power
  • Direct collaboration with founder & leadership
  • Opportunity to structure and scale a global brand
  • Potential long-term upside tied to company growth
