This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality early intervention services to children with disabilities or developmental delays. With a focus on family collaboration, you will be integral in conducting assessments, developing individualized family service plans (IFSPs), and monitoring progress to ensure that each child reaches their fullest potential.

About the Organization

At Peace of Mind Mental Health Care & Counseling, we have a deep-seated commitment to empowering marginalized populations, particularly focusing on the youngest members of our community. Our mission extends to recognizing and nurturing the unique potential of everyone we engage withโ€”clients, partners, and employees alike. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace that respects varied experiences and encourages authentic expression. We believe that diversity enhances our effectiveness and enriches our working culture.

Work Environment

This position is offered in a remote setting, allowing you to deliver impactful services from the comfort of your own home. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes early intervention specialists, educators, and healthcare providers, all focused on providing comprehensive care to children. Our Detox Center, while primarily serving individuals in crisis, underscores our broad commitment to mental health and well-being, reinforcing the importance of team synergy even in a virtual setup.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of children to identify individual needs and strengths.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), tailoring strategies to support each child's growth.
  • Monitor and document outcomes, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to ensure effectiveness and adherence to evidence-based practices.
  • Provide essential support and training to families, equipping them with information, skills, and tools needed to foster their child's development.
  • Utilize the coaching model and Natural Learning Environment Practices to promote developmental growth in home settings.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations to ensure high standards of service and safety.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and team members to cultivate a supportive learning atmosphere.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on infants and toddlers facing developmental challenges. You will engage families to create a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Your efforts will be crucial in helping children achieve developmental milestones in areas like physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication skills during their formative years.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current LCSW licensure by the Texas Department of Public Health.
  • A valid driver's license is required for potential travel to family homes or community settings.
  • Strong adaptability to various learning styles, applying flexible strategies to meet individual treatment needs.
  • Commitment to the principles of Natural Learning Environment Practices.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential to manage caseload effectively.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a therapeutic team.
Preferred Experience
  • At least one year of direct experience working with children in early intervention settings.
  • Understanding of developmental disabilities and their impact on child behavior and family dynamics.
  • Experience using evidence-based practices within a family-centered framework.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 80,000 annually. In addition to a supportive work environment, we provide an array of benefits, including:

  • Sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with a company match to support your retirement goals.
  • Generous paid time off and sick leave to ensure work-life balance.
  • Life insurance and profit-sharing opportunities.
  • Employee discounts with various vendors.
  • Flexible spending accounts for healthcare expenses.
  • Tuition reimbursement for continuous professional development.
  • Flexible scheduling options to accommodate personal and family needs.
  • Referral bonuses as a thank-you for helping us grow our team.
