Job description

We are a growing fully telehealth behavioral health practice committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered mental health care across North Carolina. Our multidisciplinary team includes licensed therapists and psychiatric providers who collaborate to deliver comprehensive treatment in a supportive and professional environment.

We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to serve as the supervising physician for the team which includes an experienced medication management team that includes 2 Psychiatric Physician Assistants (PA-C), and a PMHNP/DNP.

Position Overview
This is an ideal opportunity for a psychiatrist seeking a flexible, low-time-commitment role that allows them to support high-quality psychiatric care without maintaining a regular patient panel. In this role no patients will be seen directly.

The supervising psychiatrist will provide clinical oversight in accordance with North Carolina regulations while serving as a collaborative resource for our medication management providers.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the supervising psychiatrist for two experienced Psychiatric PA-Cs and one experienced PMHNP/DNP.
  • Be available for clinical consultation as needed.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled supervision meetings (once a month).
  • Review patient charts as required by North Carolina law and practice policy.
  • Provide guidance on complex diagnostic and medication management cases.
  • Collaborate with practice leadership to support quality patient care and clinical best practices.
Time Commitment
  • Approximately 1 hour per month of scheduled supervision.
  • Brief consultation by phone, text, or secure messaging as needed.
  • Flexible scheduling.
  • Fully remote.
Compensation
  • Competitive monthly stipend.
  • Compensation commensurate with experience and supervisory responsibilities.
Why Join Us?
  • Established, respected, fully telehealth behavioral health practice that is part of a large, statewide medical group.
  • Experienced clinical and administrative support team.
  • Flexible remote arrangement.
  • Minimal administrative burden.
  • Opportunity to mentor and collaborate with experienced clinicians.
  • Focus on quality patient care rather than production metrics.
  • Collegial, supportive practice culture.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO with Board Certification in Psychiatry.
  • Active, unrestricted North Carolina medical license.
  • DEA registration.
  • Ability to meet North Carolina supervision requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
We welcome the opportunity to discuss how this role can be tailored to fit your professional interests and availability.
