Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of enterprise risk management policies and procedures
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize operational, financial, regulatory, and organizational risks
  • Manage and provide strategic oversight of the company captive insurance program
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits throughout company operations
  • Partner with plant managers and field personnel to identify and mitigate operational exposures
  • Work closely with insurance carriers, brokers, attorneys, and outside advisors
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies that protect company assets, employees, and operations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Prepare comprehensive risk reports and present recommendations to senior leadership
  • Monitor risk trends and identify emerging exposures throughout the organization
  • Analyze loss data, claims information, and operational trends to identify improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, insurers, and other third parties
  • Evaluate insurance coverage and risk transfer strategies
  • Visit company facilities to evaluate operations, equipment, processes, and potential exposures
  • Provide strategic guidance to leadership regarding enterprise risk and insurance matters
  • Drive continuous improvement throughout the organization’s risk management programs
Requirements
  • 7+ years of professional risk management experience
  • Direct experience managing a captive insurance program
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise risk assessment and mitigation strategies
  • Experience working with insurance carriers, brokers, attorneys, and senior executives
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management standards
  • Strong analytical and quantitative risk assessment capabilities
  • Experience preparing and presenting risk findings to executive leadership
  • Ability to independently evaluate complex operational exposures
  • Experience conducting facility and operational risk assessments
  • Ability and willingness to travel to company facilities as needed
  • Ability to work flexible hours when business needs require
  • Ability to access industrial environments including platforms, equipment areas, and elevated locations during inspections
  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business administration, or a related discipline
Nice to Haves
  • Experience within construction materials, heavy manufacturing, industrial operations, or a similar environment
  • Insurance industry experience
  • Associate in Risk Management certification
  • Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation
