Job description

Job Summary:
Morgan Advanced Materials is a world leader in advanced materials science and engineering of ceramics, carbon and composites. They are seeking a commercially driven Product Manager to lead revenue growth and market share for their Castables product portfolio within the Thermal product family.
Responsibilities:
• Define and execute the product vision and multi-year roadmap.
• Drive revenue growth and margin expansion aligned with corporate strategy.
• Champion the Voice of Customer by gathering, prioritizing, and translating market insights into actionable product plans.
• Partner cross-functionally with Business Development, Sales, Technology, Operations, Application Engineering, Customer Service, and Marketing to deliver commercial success.
• Develop short- and long-term sales forecasts; prepare analytical reports to guide leadership decisions.
• Lead commercial ownership within the S&OP process, providing demand inputs and driving resolution of commercial issues.
• Analyze product performance and variance data; recommend pricing and profitability strategies.
• Improve inventory turnover and product availability through coordination with production planning.
• Collaborate with Sales and BDMs to expand market share and strengthen competitive positioning.
• Direct Marketing Communications to maintain compelling, technically accurate product collateral.
• Identify new product opportunities through CRM insights, customer engagement, and market research.
• Define product requirements, specifications, production timelines, and integrated launch plans.
• Develop pricing strategy based on cost analysis, market positioning, and projected volumes.
• Prepare ROI and CapEx analyses in partnership with Technology and Manufacturing.
• Lead product development from concept through commercialization and market launch.
• Guide promotional strategy and launch messaging with Marketing Communications.
• Meet or exceed new product sales targets.
• Grow market share in key industrial segments.
• Expand contribution margins across the product family.
• Strengthen cross-functional alignment and execution discipline.
• Deliver measurable commercial impact within the first 12–18 months.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Proven B2B product management experience
• Strong financial and analytical acumen
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced presentation capability across executive leadership and customer audiences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred:
• BS in Engineering or Marketing
• 3+ years of insulation or refractories industry experience
• Experience with MS Dynamics and advanced Excel modeling
• MBA (completed or in progress)
• Must be: + U.S. Citizen, or + U.S. Permanent Resident, or + Protected Individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324(a)(3)
