Job description

Staff Assistant II

The University of Tampa Office of Development and University Relations has a position open for a Staff Assistant II. Reporting to the Administrative Assistant, this position will provide administrative support to the Development and University Relations Team, primarily the Administrative Assistant, VP, AVPs and development officers.

Responsibilities

  • Crosstrain with Advancement Services Specialist to serve as a back-up as needed
  • Provide clerical and meeting support to the VP for Development, AVP for Development, and AVP for Advancement, Corporate Partnerships and Central Development Units teams of the department.
  • Provide clerical support for the development officers and annual giving team.
  • Collaborate with Administrative Assistant in organizing events and meetings as needed.
  • Crosstrain with Administrative Assistant and Staff Assistant I on Front Desk Operations
  • Assist in updating donor records in Raiser's Edge.
  • Assist Administrative Assistant with Campaign data entry and reporting.
  • Interface with UT community and public.
  • Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years office clerical experience required.
  • Previous experience in an academic setting preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and customer service skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task; attention to detail and organizational skills needed as well as establish priorities and manage time wisely.
  • Donor database experience preferred. Experience with Raiser's Edge database is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
