R & D Industries, Inc. (RDI) is a 41‑year‑old Iowa technology company. The RDIWorks® division is seeking a General Manager to lead our managed service provider (MSP) team across SMB and enterprise, serving as a trusted source of technology solutions.

Successful candidates will have a proven track record in technical teams, sales processes, and team management, with strong skills in analysis, interpersonal communication, sales relationship building, project management, and team leadership. Experience in IT, computers, servers, networking, network security, SaaS, and MSP business strategies such as MRR is highly desirable.

In this role you will provide day‑to‑day operational leadership and thought leadership to support our team and customers, driving high standards of technical excellence while fostering a fun, collaborative environment.

Location: Mil­ford, Iowa (company headquarters).

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support for the technical team.
  • Collaborate with marketing to coordinate sales activities and campaigns.
  • Regularly engage existing customers for technology lifecycle management, planning, and sales.
  • Execute on the vision of growth in network security and recurring revenue.
  • Coordinate division operations and contribute to strategy.
  • Work with finance to assess performance and oversee profit and loss responsibility.
  • Oversee employee safety, development, teamwork, and culture.
  • Empower the team to solve customer issues.
  • Allocate resources, assign work, and track progress using the BMP (business management platform).
  • Implement company procedures and develop guidelines for network administration and security best practices.
